This holiday season, we are filled with joy and gratitude as we announce that POLIPAKS has begun a heartfelt collaboration with the service dogs’ association “TEODORS”. In a time of giving, we are reminded that true generosity means reaching out to those who need it the most, and “TEODORS” embodies this spirit through their incredible work.
By making a donation to support the renewal and strengthening of active guide dogs’ skils in 2025, POLIPAKS is proud to contribute to this important mission and inspire others to get involved. We hope that other companies and individuals will recognize the value of “TEODORS” mission and choose to support this association, enabling them to continue their vital work.
Our in-person meeting with the association was very warm and inspiring. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn more about their mission and needs, and witness the incredible work of assistance dogs firsthand. As highlighted during the meeting, guide dogs are their handlers’ eyes and ears, providing not only companionship but also essential, constant support.
We were amazed to learn how active and accomplished these individuals are—visiting schools to give educational lectures, participating in the workforce, and excelling in sports. None of this would be possible without their determination and the invaluable support of their guide dogs.
One of the association’s founders, Velga Zēgnere, shared during our meeting: “It is very pleasing to see that socially responsible companies, that choose charity projects are increasing in numbers in Latvia.”
A little bit about “TEODORS”
It is a remarkable organization that has been making a difference for over 11 years, training and preparing 30 service and assistance dogs. They take lifelong responsibility for the dogs they train, covering all medical and daily expenses—food, veterinary care, and other needs—for their puppies, active guide dogs, and senior dogs. Their work is essential in empowering individuals with disabilities or limitations, helping them lead more independent and active lives.
We also want to highlight the exceptional work of dog trainer Zaiga Kļaviņa, who has trained most of the active guide dogs in Latvia. Her dedication ensures that these dogs are well-prepared to make a life-changing impact for their handlers.
We believe that together, we can make a meaningful difference and create a brighter future for those who rely on these incredible guide dogs.
Warm holiday wishes from the POLIPAKS team!
